They say all good things must come to an end. And so it is that we announce the fifth and final Mojitos & Mutts of the season. i Love Dogs and Hotel Maya are firming up the details for this last event and it’s something no one is going to want to miss!
Because Mojitos & Mutts 5 takes place on October 27, we’re throwing a Howl’oween bash, complete with a costume contest, prizes, goodies, raffles and more. Every Mojitos & Mutts party benefits a great local animal welfare charity. This time around, we’re thrilled to help out our good friends at the spcaLA!
Back in March, after learning that spcaLA was running low on pet food, i Love Dogs hosted a TweetUp! to raise funds and food. The event was such a success that the idea for Mojitos & Mutts was born. After four successful Mojitos & Mutts parties and a TweetUp!, we’ve come full circle and are ending exactly where we started.
We’re inviting all animal lovers, spcaLA supporters and party-friendly pooches to socialize, order off of an exclusive Mojitos & Mutts drink menu and benefit a great cause while having fun. All are welcome, but if possible we ask that you bring things an animal shelter might need, such as food, supplies, bedding, and toys. (As with our earlier Mojitos & Mutts, the KONG Company is generously matching all KONG toy donations!)
So what can you expect if you attend? Lots of things! It wouldn’t be Howl’oween without costumes, so we’re planning a groovily ghouly contest with a great prize. But really, all costumed dogs are winners because they’ll get some extra treats just for being there and supporting spcaLA. Sorry, humans. You’re more than welcome to dress up—in fact, we encourage it—but only the canine kind can win a prize for the canine costume contest.
And, of course, we’re still doing the Pet PostcardProject drive so we’ll have plenty of postcards for guests to fill 
out.
Those aren’t the only Halloween treats we’re offering. Pussy & Pooch are returning with their raw food “paw bar” and Chewsy Dog will be there with some goodies, too. Plus, there will be gift basket prizes donated from local retailer Zoom Room and from pet food maker By Nature.
And, of course, we have the best raffle prizes and gift bags, er, trick-or-treat bags, anywhere! A big thanks to our pals at Pup-Peroni, Worldwise, FURminator, FIDO Friendly and Petrol Fuel for Dogs for supporting Mojitos & Mutts and for their commitment to animal welfare. Their generous donations to our raffles and gift bags have made these events truly special for everyone.

Her excellent photography skills have saved the i Love Dogs staff from the embarrassment of posting their own blurry pictures.
